It was 1998, the year that Harry Potter killed the seemingly invincible Voldemort. He'd destroyed all the horcruxes, including the one that was inside himself, and finally, with aide from the Elderwand, he defeated the self-proclaimed Dark Lord. But what happened after the death of Voldemort?
It seems that everyone who was killed by the Dark Lord or his followers never fully died. Their souls, instead of going straight on, hung in limbo between the living and the dead. They couldn't communicate with anyone but themselves, and they lived a dreary existence. After Voldemort was killed by the Elderwand, all of these people were suddenly presented with a choice. Would they like to go back and join the living, or go on and become the dead?
Most of them chose to go back to the living, including James and Lily Potter, Sirius Black, and Remus and Tonks Lupin. They had families to be getting back to, and James and Lily were eager to get to play the part of future grandparents, seeing as how Harry was planning on proposing to Ginny. Remus and Tonks were looking forward to raising little Teddy to be a good, caring man. However, there were those who chose to go on, and for extremely different reasons was that decision made. Peter Pettigrew went on, because he could not bare to deal with the fact that he'd betrayed his fellow Marauders, most especially James. On the other hand, Dumbledore went on because he knew he'd lived a full life, and he would be better off overseeing things from his place in the unknown.
Besides just the dead coming back to life, another special event has taken place. The Longbottoms have made a full recovery from their injuries, and awaken to find Neville and Luna, hand in hand, sitting by their bedside. Everyone who'd suffered permanent injuries from the Dark Wizards made a full recovery and were able to leave St. Mungo's and go out and enjoy their lives again.
While all of this happiness was going on, the Death Eaters had not yet given up hope. They were now planning, and plotting, to invade France. Though they did not have a Dark Lord figure yet, they knew that just the terror they themselves could cause would wreak havoc in France. In particular, they were targeting the old pureblooded families who'd looked down on Lord Voldemort for many, many years instead of "helping the cause."
The Ministry rebuilt itself, and today, in 2023, is in full swing. Many famous people, including Ron Weasley and Harry Potter, now hold jobs within the ministry. In fact, they themselves are now parents and hope to get their own children jobs in the ministry as well. All of these wonder children from Lord Voldemort's era now have families of their own, and soon enough their children will be graduating and having families of THEIR own. Come be a part of it, and help shape the future of England's wizarding community.
