The steady tapping of a high heel was all that could be heard in the empty gym. The sound echoed off the walls and back into the ear of the thin Asian girl who was perched carefully on the bleachers. Her lime green tank-top clung to her small torso exposing her bronze back and shoulders. Her dark denim mini-skirt also clung tightly to her small frame. Her size seven heels that kept their steady beat on the bench were the same shade as her shirt and absolutely spotless. A small silver chain hung around her neck with a heart on the end. Her freshly dyed blonde hair hung in loose curls around her shoulders.
Meiying sighed with boredom as she lifted her tan colored hand to examine her perfectly manicured fingernails. She hadn’t really felt like going to third period that day so she just didn’t even bother. She knew she probably shouldn’t have, and she knew she would probably get shit from Michio for it later. But honestly she couldn’t have cared less. Besides Michio couldn’t really scold her all the much for skipping class. He skipped class all the time, and at least Meiying passed her classes.
On a normal occasion Meiying would have just gotten in her car and drove somewhere else. But she still hadn’t really gotten a feel for Ryo, and she wasn’t really sure of anywhere interesting. She actually didn’t know many places at all around Ryo, and surprisingly for such a small island, someone could easily get lost.
So Meiying had chosen the gym as her hideout in hopes that there was possibly a basketball game or something involving sweaty guys going on in there. But much to her dismay the coaches had decided to hold gym class outside today. So there she was. She would have gotten up and went somewhere else, but she found herself too lazy at the particular moment in time, so she sat in the silence of the large gym.
She froze as she heard one of the doors start to open. She hadn’t been expecting anyone to be going into the gym. At least if someone had walked in while the gym classes were going on she could lie and say she forgot her PE uniform that day. Her mind started to race and she looked for something to dodge behind. But by that time it was too late and she heard a voice bounce off the walls of the gymnasium.

"Meiying!"
Lexi called as she stepped into the gym and spotted her friend sitting there awkwardly. Her eyes professionally took in the girl's clothes as she made her way towards the bleachers, conscious of her own outfit. That day she'd worn a simple skin-tight pink t-shirt and a pair of knee-length white shorts. Brown beaded sandals with freakishly large heels sent a lustful sway through each step she took, making her straightened blonde hair which adorned her shoulders bounce, as if to the beat of music.
Of course Lexi was skipping. Third period for her was French, which was surprisingly her strongest subject, only because she pulled off the perfect French accent while trying to sound seductive, and trying to sound seductive wasn't a hard thing when her teacher looked the way he did. They shouldn't be allowed to hire such heart throbs. Lexi would find herself thinking as she'd subconsciously stalk him with her eyes. Educated as he was, he couldn't completely resist her womanly charm, which explains why she could get out of class at any time. They'd been doing classwork and she'd pathetically complained about a headache. After acquiring a pass and slipping out the door, Lexi had wandered to the gym to go boy shopping. Apparently they were all out of stock.
"What a pleasant surprise." Lexi purred as she approached the girl, her eyes flickering towards the men's locker room, wondering if there was a gym class dressing out. "I met your brother the other day." She informed her uninterestedly, sliding onto the row of bleachers beneath the one which Meiying perched on. Lexi tilted her head to the side so that her bangs fell across her face, and then she swept them aside practiced fingers.
She still didn't know Meiying too well, but from what she could tell, this was a girl she could get along with. Sure, from the way it looked they'd probably have some rivalry, but for the most part they were quite similar. Lexi found herself wanting to be this girl's friend, a situation not to be taken for granted but to be taken advantage of.
((Is that alright? Tell me if not.))

The tapping of Meiying's heel stopped when she heard the voice. Her eyes snapped to the door and a wave of relief practically washed over her. Her face twisted back to it's normally calm expression. "Oh, hi there Lexi!" Meiying's lips turned upwards into a grin. Thank god it hadn't been a teacher or an administrator checking for anybody skipping gym.
Meiying smiled sweetly as Lexi approached her. She giggled slightly as the other girls eyes flickered to the men's locker room. "They decided to hold gym classes outside today." Slight disappointment showed in her voice and she gave a fake pout. "Pity too, I was in a boy-watching mood." Oh well, girl-watching would have to do for the time-being.
Meiying's darkly-colored eyes stayed fixated on Lexi as the lighter-featured girl sat on the bench in front of her. She didn't know the other girl very well. She had seen the girl around occasionally, but mostly heard other people gossiping about her. Meiying hadn't seen the other girl in any of her classes either. But none of that held any significance to Meiying. She could automatically tell when she met or heard about someone she could easily be friends with.
Meiying raised an eyebrow as Lexi told her that she had met her brother. Lexi seemed quite nonchalant about it. Normally girls would have been begging Meiying to hook them up with him. They act like Meiying would have. Psh, like any of those girls were worth her precious older brothers time. Not that Lexi was normal by any means. The blonde girl actually seemed to be far from it actually.
"Really now? Was there a red-head like...emo girl with him?" The pleasant expression didn't leave Meiying's face, although in her mind she was cursing that damn red-head. Who did she think she was anyway?
[[Don't worry, it's perfect. =D]]

Lexi sat uncomfortably on the bleachers, a prissy smile resting on her glossed lips. She turned her body slightly, her head turned to watch Meiying as she talked. She'd definitely seen her eyes, and it made her bubbly.
"Damn. Outside? That's stupid." She added in on the disappointment, glancing once again towards the locker room. She was one of those girls that liked to inhale the stale scent of sweaty men. Subconsciously her eyes slithered past the girl's locker room too. Lexi smoothed down her shirt, thankful she didn't have gym for the rest of the year. It was a killer on the hair, and besides that the uniforms did nothing for her body, though that didn't bother her as much. A wicked grin spread across her face at the boy-watching comment, but she made no statement in reply.
"Hmm, emo girl?" Lexi tapped her lower lip thougtfully though really she didn't bother to think about it hard. "There are a lot of emo girls at this school." A bit of disapproval showed in her voice. "But no, not a red headed one. Why? Should there have been?" Lexi looked away as her eyes narrowed from natural God-given jealousy. It was something she constantly fought with. I don't even care about that boy. He's sexy, but not that sexy. She shrugged the negative thoughts off, though somewhere in her mind she continued to rant.
Lexi sighed loudly, looking up at the large clock. The gym never had been a very fun place. Except that one time behind the bleachers... Lexi couldn't help but exhale, chuckling a bit under her breath.

Meiying grinned thoughtfully at the small amount of disapproval in Lexi's voice. Finally someone who agreed with Meiying on this matter. Anybody else who Meiying had told about her brother had shrugged it off. So what? He was a drifter who liked an emo girl? What was the big issue with that? But for Meiying, everything about it was an issue. Michio could pretty much have anyone he wanted, and he chose her? God, the thought of them together alone made Meiying sick to her stomach.
"Her name is Talli., and she's his newest play-thing." Meiying's grinned turned downwards as she spoke but quickly returned afterwards. Meiying put extra emphasis on the girls name. Not the good kind of emphasis though. The emphasis that made the girl seem as if she was the scum of the earth. And in Meiying's opinion she was. She lifted a hand carefully and once again examined her fingernails. "I can tell it won't last long. They never do." Meiying didn't bother to hide the pleasure in her voice when she spoke.
Meiying opened her mouth and let out a small yawn. In Meiying's opinion, Ryo truly was snoresville. She had no idea why her brother had chosen this island of all places. Her eyes flickered back to Lexi's face as she heard the other girl chuckle. Her natural curiousity kicked in and she spoke.
"What are you laughing about?"

"Talli?" Lexi snorted, prissily flipping her hair. Okay, so sometimes she could be a bitch. But who could blame her? The girl's freaking name was Talli. She wrinkled her nose in disapproval. "Nope, never heard of her." Thank God. Lexi wasn't in too good of a mood. She actually hadn't given it a second thought. Had there been a little emo girl on that hot china guy's heels? She wondered briefly. Nah, thinking too hard hurt her brain. It didn't really matter anyways. He'd asked her to go to the office with him, not that girl. Lexi felt an air of victory.
"I wasn't laughing." She replied slyly, smirking at Meiying as she eyed her from the corner of her eyes. "I just...well, life's funny." She shrugged, propping her elbow on her knee and placing her chin in her hand. Drawing out another sigh, she had an idea.
"Let's do something naughty." Lexi didn't fall into senseless pranks often. Sure, she fed off of other people's misery, but at the same time she felt she was too proper to do things too immature. Usually.
[Agh, sorry about that! I remember my computer crashed right after I'd posted up here, but apparently not afterwards because my post wasn't here so I had to do this one which was kind of rushed. My other one was better. >.> Meh.]
{Oh, and there's nothing really personal against Talli. Just wanted to make sure that was known. ^.^}
